GARMENTS DESIGNED FOR NO ONE
This work serves as a catalyst for reimagining the relationship between materials, form, and design. These garments challenge conventional notions of dressing. Depicted are a bunched wool skirt with a silk toilet paper tail, a pinstripe vest with more button holes than buttons, and a relaxed trouser with a missing fly zipper. They are designed at the intersection between body and cloth, drawing attention to how clothing holds the memory of the human form. The designs utilize traditional suiting reimagined as a sartorial statement of nonconformity, disrupting the sterility in formal dress.
