MODULAR CLOTHING

Each garment houses detachable 'components' connected through hand-sewn silver snap closures. These components are designed to be interdependent throughout 5 different garments.

My interests lie in highlighting the blueprint of clothing through modularity, allowing the design process to continue through the wearer’s use. Inspiring functional creativity with clothing creates a space between production and consumption where designers’ and users’ visions meet. Modular clothing design confronts the wearer with the labor of activation. This activation is the celebration of potential, drawing attention to how the utility of clothing can be expanded.

The iterative nature of a draft gets carried over to the process of styling, proposing a way of dressing with no rules.
